Andrea Tincu founded the namesake company in 2007. She is a Fine Arts graduate who dedicates her life to art and beauty. In her studio, Andrea creates all the spectacular prints that have made the brand recognizable.
One of the best-known features of the brand is the silk scarves line. Andrea Tincu created the first scarves in 2015, and they quickly became very popular thanks to the creative design and luxurious Italian silk. The designs are based on original handmade paintings created by the designer. The scarves collection features a wide range of themes, such as art, fashion, flowers or travel. The beauty of the design is complemented by the sophisticated packaging, in black and golden custom boxes.
Andrea Tincu’s debut collection at Romanian Fashion Week was inspired by Man Ray. Provocative and avant-garde designs featured sophisticated shapes and minimalist colors. This collection helped Andrea Tincu establish a creative brand identity with a strong personality.
The brand further developed a prestigious reputation after Andrea Tincu was chosen to be the designer of Carmen Iohannis, First Lady of Romania. This provided wonderful opportunities for the designer to create outfits worn at important international events, such as the Enthronement of Japan’s Emperor Naruhito and the Armistice Commemorations in Paris.
Andrea Tincu takes an active part in the fashion industry. The brand presents two main ready-to-wear collections and several small capsule collections in a year. London, Amsterdam, Kiev, Athens, and Bucharest are just a few of the many capitals where Andrea Tincu presented her collections. For each collection, Andrea was inspired by a different and exciting theme, such as the work of her favorite artists and architects (Brancusi, Paciurea, Juan Miro, Frank Gehry), fairytales, mythical places, films, books and nature.
All the garments are locally and ethically produced, with a team of people that have been working for the brand for over 10 years. Andrea Tincu values creativity, sustainability and complex designs.
