Anastasia Dumitrescu (1989) is a Romanian multimedia artist and performer based in Transylvania, Romania. She studied performative arts at The National University of Performative Arts and Cinema, followed by a master degree on The Theory and Practice of the Image, at The Centre of Excellency in Visual Studies in Bucharest. Her work is research-based and is being shaped by post-phenomenological approach geographies and theories of new materialism, methods that both enable relational modes of approaching narratives between meaning and matter, humans, non-humans, and the environment. An interdisciplinary crossover between literature, poetry and theory, her outlets encompass photography, video-art, sonic experiments and installations.
She is co-founder of Hyphen, an audio-visual platform where she performs as part of the experimental duo NAAUM.
