Robert Petreanu (b. 1984) lives and works in Bucharest, Romania and France

He studied photography at the Department of Photography – FAMU Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (2011-2012)

Inspired and fascinated by documentary photography, he believes that it records a moment and a state. His images capture movement, action, gesture. Life and the levels of “reality” is what interests him most. His characters tell ordinary stories, and their emotion comes from their naturalness and humanity. When photographing objects, he is concerned with their symmetry, their geometry, their drawing and poetry.
