Alex Raptis was born in 1989 in Greece and works in the performing arts. His main areas of interest are theatre direction, light design and music composition. He obtained his degree in Performing Arts at UNATC “I. L. Caragiale” in 2012, and then attended the Master’s Degree in Sound & Light Design at the same university. Since 2014, she creates light design or music for performances, jazz concerts and plays. His most recent directed performance is The Stranger (after Y. Mavritsakis’ Summoning the Charm) at POINT. Other shows he has been involved in are – Slaves by M. Manolescu and Plastic by M. Mayenburg (d. Cristian Popescu), Daughters and Counterbody by Simona Deaconescu, The summer when mother had green eyes by T. Țîbuleac, Nok!Nok! and An Tan Tina, all directed by Nicoleta Lefter.
He lives and works in Bucharest, but is also involved in projects in other cities and countries. He makes electronic music with Andrei Raicu, in the formula Al’iikhwa Ra, and is the drummer of MIDPOINT.
