Mihaela Cherciu (b. 1990) lives and works in Bucharest, Romania.

She is a graduate of the N. Tonitza High School of Fine Arts (2009) and of the National University of Arts in Bucharest (2012), specializing in painting. Her artistic practice includes abstract paintings made in mixed media. The topics covered are an exploration of one’s own perception of the relationship between the micro and macro cosmos, and of the astral phenomena that take the form of imaginary landscapes. Starting from philosophical questions about the place of humanity in the Universe, the work presented in this exhibition reflects the fascination for the images offered by infinite space.
