Born in 1982, Anca Bodea lives and works in Cluj-Napoca. She graduated in 2005 from the University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca, currently she is a lecturer at the same university. She participated in many national and international group shows. In the last 10 years she presented her works in art fairs like Toronto Art Fair, Berlin Liste, Vienna Contemporary or Artmarket Budapest. She is co-founder of Hassium.ro art platform. Her work is developed mainly in oil painting techniques but also explores drawing mediums, paper works and installation. Anca grows her ideas and cultural research from concepts such as solitude, absence and dwelling. Her paintings consist in searching ways of representing the depth of the space and how the chromatic scales can enable a sensorial meaning of the painting.
