Lionel Jadot

Născut la Bruxelles în 1969, Lionel Jadot este designer de interior, artist, designer, regizor, aventurier. Dar și toate acestea în același timp, forjeaza toate oportunitățile. “Nu arunc nimic, eu adun. Experimentez cu resturi, cu mariaje nenaturale. Nu uit nici măcar o linie.” Jadot ne invită să pătrundem în lumi subtile, subversive, aflate la granița cu realitatea. Este materie dilatată în timp. Spiritul de aventurier caută un echilibru protector într-o lume ostilă.

Pentru Lionel Jadot, orice este un obiect, orice este istorie. Are referințe în alte locuri, alte timpuri și îl preocupă conexiunile dintre acestea. El coase, petecește, coase din nou, combină materiale, combină ere. Încastrează lemnul în metal, mineralele în plante și vechiul în nou.

Arhitect fiind, locurile îi inspiră povești. Regizor fiind, inventează povești în locuri care (încă) nu există. Aceasta este întrebarea lui recurentă: ce se întâmplă cu locul în care trăim?
