Arantxa Etcheverria

Arantxa Etcheverria (născută în 1975, în Franța) este o artistă franceză care trăiește și lucrează în București. Ea a studiat artele vizuale la Villa Arson în Nisa și scenografie la Teatrul Național din Strasbourg, Franța. Din 2013 a început să dezvolte o practică artistică legată de arhitectura modernistă a atelierul iei. Fie ca este vorba de pictură, instalație sau foto și video montaj, lucrările Arantxei Etcheverria sunt rezultatul unei analize meticuloase a geometriei spațiului.

Formele arhitecturale din compozițiile sale ne prezintă ceva real, oferind în același timp frâu liber imaginației. Influențe Suprematiste sau Constructiviste se fac resimțite în opera sa, care este rezultatul reflecției meditative, dar nu al unui ascetism absolut.

Artista a avut expoziții solo la Victoria Art Center București, Atelier 35, București, Galeria Creart și Galeria Sector 1, București, Centrul de Interes, Cluj-Napoca, Galeria Baril, Cluj-Napoca. Lucrările sale au făcut parte din numeroase expoziții de grup, inclusiv la Muzeul Național de Artă Contemporană București, Muzeul de Artă Recentă București, Bienala Art Encounters, Timișoara, Club Electro Putere, Craiova, Bienala de Artă Contemporană București, Media Art Festival, Arad, Art Safari București, Museo di Roma, Maison de l ‘International, Grenoble, Institutul Cultural Român, Viena și Fundația Benetton, Trieste.

Lucrările sale fac parte din colecția Muzeului Național de Artă Contemporană, București și colecția Muzeului de Artă Recentă, București, precum și din colecții private din România și din străinătate. Artista este reprezentată de Galeria Sector 1 din București.
