Laurian Bardos lucrează și trăiește în București România.

În construcția sonică a proiectului syntax, Laurian Bardos își atrage o puternică influență din studiul său în psihologia medicală. Din această perspectivă, evoluția muzicii sale, experimentale, a fost influențată de studiul percepției și al teoriei Gestalt, care leagă forma spațială (geometrică) de forma temporală (sunet).

Din punct de vedere conceptual, se inspiră în continuare din studiul aspectelor sinestezice ale percepției și preocuparea în găsirea unui limbaj artistic primar, epurat formal, non-alfabetic și metode de decodare-transcodare dincolo de limitările limbajului natural, vizând o suspendare, o dejucare opozițională, a datelor discursului paradigmatic specific gândirii dualiste, condiționate de contextul socio-cultural.
